My Story
Welcome! My name is Jenifer Dickinson and I am the face behind the Little Field lens — capturing the magic of children from my little farm in Iona. In 1985, my family migrated to Australia from Uruguay. As a keen hobby photographer with an old school film camera, my dad inspired me at the age of 12 to pick up his camera. Once I finished school, life took its course and art and photography slowly drifted into the background. I took on careers in the horse industry, childcare, and over the next seven years, I worked my way up from reception to property management. During this time, I met my future husband John and in 2010 we were married on the farm. With real estate not quite filling my cup, I moved on and settled into farm life. Unsure of what to do next, I bought myself a second hand digital camera and started taking photographs around the farm. Our dogs, horses, cattle and my nephews became my main subject. I began to post the photos on Facebook and received positive feedback from friends and family. I started offering mini sessions and this allowed me to cultivate my own unique style. In 2016, we were blessed with our first (hubby's third) child. My gorgeous son helps me better my skills every day as I continue to snap up his childhood through my lens. My unique style has brought me to mentor new and established photographers from all around the world.
It is a blessing to create beautiful memories that you can proudly hang in your homes.
